It’s a long way to heaven
Für die Herbert Gerisch-Stiftung in Neumünster wurde eine Installation auf der weitläufigen Wiese am Eingangsbereich konzipiert. Es sind dort 22 identische „Maulwurfshügel“ in einer Endlosschleife gruppiert. Jeder Hügel stammt von einem einzigen Prototypen ab. Sie sind aus GFK, also glasfaserverstärktem Kunststoff, gefertigt und mit Quarzsand beschichtet, dessen Farbe sich an der des vorgefundenen Erdreichs orientiert.
On behalf of the Herbert Gerisch Foundation in Neumünster, an installation was conceived for the extensive grass field at the entrance area. There twenty-two identical “molehills” are grouped in an infinite loop. Each hill derives from a singly prototype and is made of GRP, or glass fibre reinforced plastic, and coated with quartz sand whose colour matches that of the soil found on site.
